In his guest talk, The View from Armidale’s Future, Tony Sorensen will show how the city’s businesses are already adapting to the digital world and shaping the future.
“Tony joins the chamber to talk about how Armidale’s assets – including our growing technology skills base, our broadband infrastructure and more – are helping local businesses grow,” the chamber’s executive officer Tracy Pendergast said.
NSW Departmentof Industry spokesmanPeter Sniekerswill begin the event, outlining why Armidale was named among the Smart 21 Communities of 2016 and how businessescan leverage this accolade.
The talk is on Wednesday, November 25 in the upstairs room at the New England Hotel in Beardy Street, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
Adjunct Professor Sorensen’sinterest isin how regional communities can adaptto as yet unknown business opportunities in commerce and technology.
Another of his research strands focuses on urban planning theory and the economics of Australia’s residential property markets.
