A man has been charged over multiple alleged offences, including an aggravated break and enter at Emu Plains on the weekend.
About 2pm on Saturday police attached to Operation Countdown stopped a vehicle on Duke Place, Emu Plainsandattempted to arrest the male driver, 30.
Police said he locked the doors and windows, before they attempted to gain entry by breaking a window.
The driver then allegedly reversed the vehicle and accelerated at high speed, narrowly avoiding hitting the police officers.
Police will allege he drove away and left the vehicle in a carpark on Mulgoa Road.
About 6.15pm, the man was located and arrested at a home at Glenmore Place, South Penrith.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with offences including first instance warrant (fraud matter), use vehicle to avoid apprehension, trespass, aggravated break and enter, armed with intent and 16 fraud offences.
He was refused bail atParramatta Bail Court andwill appear in Penrith Local Court on November 27.
