Captain courageousis back for another yearCowboys’ rugby league secretary Ray Fabar says the re-signing of Group 11 player of the year Justin Toomey-White as captain-coach for 2016 is a major boost for the club.
“He’s the best player in Group 11 and his leadership has been outstanding this season,” Fabar said.
“His representative duties have also helped him learn for give the club new ideas and new moves, we’re so pleased.
He’s a young coach and always listens to advice and has old heads like Joey Williams alongside him who help set up our structure on the field.”
Corey Stanley will also assist the captain-coach in the new year.
Mr Fabar said the co-coaching roles of Rodney Dowton and Chris Brennan in reserve grade was also positive.
“These guys love the game and the Cowboys, and bring experience and knowledge,” he said.
Another former first grader Aidan Ryan takes up the Under 18s role again.
Training has begun on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Kennard Park.
