A Smoky Bayman has been arrested after allegedly refusing a drug driver test and then assaulting a police officer on November 22.
Around4pmpolice stopped a car on Smoky Bay Road for a driver screening test.
Police allege the driver refused to provide a sample for analysis and refused to provide his name an address.
A search of the car by local police officersuncovered onegram of amphetamine, fourglass pipes, cannabis and threecannabis pipes.
During the incident, police also allege the Smoky Bay man assaulted a police officer.
The 37-year-old man from Smoky Bay was arrested and charged with refusing a driver screening test, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, refusingto state personal particulars and drug possession offences.
He was issued with an immediate loss of licence for sixmonths and was bailed to appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court on January 11.
