Jack Haynes, Jasmine Haynes, Ella Simon, Laura McLaren, Prue Nee, Aria Nee, Kyle Havelka, Tori Pengelly, Rachael Heron and Phoebe Law at the zone jamboree.Members of the Lake Conjola Pony Clubenjoyed the two days of competition last weekend at the annual Zone 28 Jamboree.
Everyone performed well in their morning flat riding classes before the afternoon’s program of sporting and show jumping.
At the completion of Sunday’s classes our riders had produced some lovely rounds of jumping and fast times in the sporting to finish with the trophy for the highest point score – well done everyone.
Our individual sash winners were Jack, who received champion in his age group, and Kyle and Jasmine who brought home reserve in their respective grades.
Kyle, Ella, Rachael and Aria had nominated to try out for the team of four for next year’s Sydney Royal and, after impressing the selectors with their beautiful workout, all made the team – congratulations and keep up the good work.
A highlight of the Jamboree was the fancy dress competition with everyone embracing the 60’s theme and presenting themselves and their ponies brilliantly, you all looked amazing.
Our final get-together for the year will be our Christmas Party and Presentation on December 5. See you all there and thank you to everyone for another fantastic year at pony club.
Riding tip:Be positive.Instead of letting negative thoughts like, “I’m going to come off” or “She’ll freak out at this” worry you, try being your own cheer-squad. Remind yourself of your good points.
We all know that our horses pick up on how we feel so be optimistic.
