Police are appealing for information about the theft of an Ambulance Victoria community emergency response vehicle on Thursday. Picture: CONTRIBUTEDPOLICE are appealing for information after a stolen Ambulance Victoria emergency response vehicle was found in Delville Street, Horsham on Thursday.
The 2011 white Nissan X-trail was stolen from the joint Country Fire Authority and ambulance station in Hawkesdale some time on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Warrnambool Crime Investigation Unit Detective Gary Greene said anyone with information should contact police.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen that vehicle, in particular in Delville Street,” he said.
“If they saw anyone walking from it, or in the vicinity, they can contact Crimestoppers.”
The car was clearly marked as a community emergency vehicle and had lights on the roof.
Det Greene said it was lucky nothing valuable was taken from the car.
“Police recovered the vehicle and it has since be returned,” he said.
“Fortunately there was no damage to the vehicle and nothing appears to be stolen.
“There were certainly items of value in it.”
